Many Native Americans say the name Redskins is a racial slur and are demanding that owner Dan Snyder change it. American Indian Movement Founder Clyde Bellecourt says the word has its roots in the genocide of Native Americans. When the blood ran down those childrens faces, those grandmas and mothers, the families...whole tribes were decimated, Bellecourt said. Thats where the word Redskin comes from. Thats the word for the scalping policy, and Dan Snyder should be ashamed of himself.
