Many Swedes intimidated into silence Today we have a collection of laws that set clear boundaries within which its citizens are allowed to act. These laws should not at least ensure that all citizens are guaranteed the same rights. Nobody has the right to override these laws. Nevertheless, we have too often been able to see how the representatives of various trade unions, associations and political parties tried to do just that. This time it is the two debaters Goran Brante and Mary Wiberg (27/9) advocating restrictions on the constitutionally protected rights when they more or less argue that those who sympathize with the Sweden Democrats can not work in Swedish schools. And I mean they are not only teachers, but also school kitchen staff, cleaning staff, caretakers and school administrative staff . The noises of this kind is nothing new. In the past we have been able to hear others express the Sweden Democrats should not be allowed to work in the Swedish health care, or that the public sector should stop purchase services from private companies run by Sweden Democrats. The one with the wrong opinions should be hung out, mock and denied the opportunity to supply. The consequence has been that many Swedes had been intimidated into silence, even in the Swedish teaching staff.
