Many ask me - why I as a Muslim - informed others of the importance to not consume pork: It is your choice but to seek understanding on your own..however even this should be reason enough Leviticus 11:7-8, 1-47, Isaiah 66:17, Romans 14: 1-23; Acts 10:9-19; 1 Timothy: 4:1-5; Deuteronomy 14:1-29; Leviticus 19:19 expressly says that all the laws should be kept...Jesus as a Jew would not have eaten pork although during his life Romans and Greeks occupied Palestine and pork was raised as the Romans and Greeks considered it a delicacy...it was being sold as an export good to Roman outposts and nation states; Jesus says clearly Mathew 5:17 his thoughts on the Old Testament laws...it was Paul who did away with the prescription to follow the laws...Acts: 10:34...as he preached to the Gentiles whereas Jesus clearly said not to Matthew 10:5-6; if not for medical reasons why not these...as Jesus clearly states he came to fulfill all the laws sent to the children of Israel which included dietary ones ...see Leviticus and Deuteronomy. Many modern Christians also argue about the factors of what Paul called the Gospel of Salvation, however, that is the message of Paul and in no way did Jesus say to go against those laws which he came to fulfill - which included the laws of diet, as he clearly states numerous times that he came to fulfill the laws - and not to destroy them - your choice to believe those direct words or not - but you can not show me one place in the Bible were he says that he would not adhere to the laws - the commandments and Torah of the Old Testament; i provided facts and your provided rhetoric and supposition of Pauls teaching after Christ - were he did away with the laws and adherence to them - the same man who murdered and ridiculed Christians as Saul and who even said - For if the truth of God, hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory: why yet am I also judged as a sinner? ROMANS 3:7 - the same man who states that he has lied about Jesus and God, and the truth that those people who followed Jesus - who were also Jews - should no longer adhere to the laws - believe what you will - but you can not show me one time where Jesus says he did not follow the laws of the Old Testament - the rules are the rules and these facts are FACTS.
