Many changes have occurred at the Quincy Art Center, starting with the naming of their 5th Director and Curator, Jennifer Teter, effective August 30, 2014. Teter, former Director of Education, will be replacing Julie Nelson, who has served for the Art Center as the Executive Director and Curator for 20 years. Teter’s goals for the art center this year are to increase the growth of the education programs, continue featuring quality exhibits from our regional and local artists, expanding the art center membership and community outreach. Additional changes in the staff for the QAC are in naming Lana Rabe, the Director of Development and Marketing. Steven Stoll, the newest employee for the art center will be replacing Teter as the Art Education Coordinator. Also, Zachary Meyer is the new Exhibitions Preparator. The Quincy Art Center will hold a reception, open to the public, to celebrate Teter’s new position on Saturday, September 6 at 7 pm.
