Many comments were deleted, some people banned over the comments on the recent arrests at Montezuma Park. There is NO reason for attacks of the people posting or the people arrested or the Sheriffs Office, in this case or any other case. The courts will deal with punishment. People should not speculate. These two men were arrested for being in the park after hours, NOTHING more, just as the release stated. If someone is caught engaged in any other crime the charge may include trespassing, but other charges would be filed also. I will state again, this page is for the Sheriffs Office to communicate, without media editing, what is happening in the county. It is for us to post public record information, that we feel the public may be interested in. It is NOT a blog. Please be civil. If not, we will block you. We are fine will civil criticism & we take it into consideration for future posts. For example, we posted a couple of pictures of cars from a fatal crash, some felt that was insensitive. We changed our policy & will not post a photo of a fatal crash again. We do listen & consider your appropriate comments. Now, as stated before, we are patrolling the parks heavily. We are enforcing all rules, drinking, hours, other illegal activity. There will not be warnings for violations in the parks. We are going to keep our parks a nice place for family & kids. Please dont tell us to work other crime, we are doing that too.
