Many delightful Flora & Fauna from Gran Sabana & Mt Roraima - TopicsExpress

Many delightful Flora & Fauna from Gran Sabana & Mt Roraima Venezuela. A few old friends I could have identified with our Aripo Savannah in Trinidad like the insect eating - Sundew plant, extensive groves of Moriche Palms, the tiny fine leafed bamboo with is native to Trinidads higher slopes{and what I saw in the high Andean Mt Passes in Peru en-route to Machu Picchu}, various Ferns, Palms & Orchids which all favour the higher altitudes, temperatures and of course moisture. The loudest bird in Trinidads forest called out to our Expedition Team in Gran Sabana - The Bearded Bell Bird, Yellow-headed Parrots, Raptors - Common & Greater Black Hawks & White Hawks. Black & Turkey Vultures and one I saw for the first time - The King Vulture. Nonetheless, many of the Flora & Fauna are unique to this prehistoric real-estate and a novelty which provided much interests a with each step I made! Roraima & Gran Sabana truly opened-up for me{as correctly described by my Native Indian Guide} and was in Full Bloom! So much more Treasure than I ever bargained for! Jeannine Story, Sharon Millar, Manghanita Kempadoo, Hairim Garcia Arraiz, Andreas Hauer, Luca Tommasino, Jessica Brown, Jon Bossenbroek & Tina Ploegstra Bossenbroek to name a few should particularly like these!!
