Many firms, organisations and even countries use lobbyists to push forward an agenda or an idea. And this has been the modus of operandi at Washington DC for decades, and it has worked quite well. But with the advent of tea party and the end of earmarks, Capitol Hill has turned into a town where its getting hard for both sides to come together and do business, and lobby groups are simply struggling to get things done. After talking with my friends who run some of these prestigious lobby firms, I get a sense that Capitol Hill is simply counting on the rotation policy. In short, the mindset is ..Yo! We know things are crappy but we better wait this out for 2 years.....amazing ! Is this how a democracy should work ? At least there is Azerbaijan government willing to pay million in fees to lobby groups based in DC to push for tourism between the U.S. and Azerbaijan, well at least thats the story. But I am not sure if anyone in the US congress is currently bothered about that ? I guess no one in the US congress is willing to go on a fully paid trip to Azerbaijan eh ? Hehehehehe ! Anyways so I guess to make Washington work, we may have to vote down our tea party friends or simply ask them to mature up a little and bring back earmarks ....or bring in a Jeb Bush ....I dont know if Rubio, Cruz or Romney can bring GOP together, most likely not ? .....will love to hear from folks interested in US politics.
