Many friends criticized me for use of the word Muslims for those - TopicsExpress

Many friends criticized me for use of the word Muslims for those killed in Assam. Some called it improper as an IPS officer, some called it inciting violence, some psuedo-secular. My humble submission is firstly that it is my personal opinion, not as an IPS officer. Secondly we need to understand that it is a fact. These people were Muslims, along with being Human beings, Indians and other such entities and from whatever news has come through all sources, were killed for being Muslims. A fact cannot and shall not be hidden merely because it is inconvenient to some of us. Only when we face a fact and reality, we can correct it. Any such incidence, merely on communal lines is extremely deplorable and condemnable and I stand by my words, whether it gives me praise or criticism. I cant do everything solely on the basis of gain or loss. My question still is- Why were these innocent people killed? merely for not voting a candidate? merely for being member of a community? I am willing to face all criticism and all kind of personal harm, but I fully stand by my words and also request that let us not take the alibi of foreign national or previous incidence to justify this in any manner. Let this be an incidence leading to a new beginning.
