Many good points in this letter. Thank you for the update and the information from So and So (name removed). Id like to say amazing or hard to believe, however, it is really not surprising. I think So and So (name removed)l summed it up - I am unable to trust the public school system anymore. Its my conclusion that the Common Core issue has brought to the fore front just how broken and out of control our public education system has gotten. Frankly, Im not sure it can be corrected or saved. Possibly its time to begin the debate as to whether or not public education is any longer viable. I think So and So (name removed) is doing the right thing going to homeschooling. We need to be prepared for the public education bureaucracy attack on homeschooling. Its my belief that we will see more and more parents fleeing public education. As that happens the public education establishment will, I think, go on the offensive to stop homeschooling. Why do I suggest homeschooling will be attacked? Precisely because of what Common Core is all about. That is creating a cookie cutter set of brainwashing teaching the public education bureaucracy is determined to impose on every child in America. The trouble with homeschooling (from the point of view of the public education bureaucracy) is parents have gone to it because they do not want the pabulum of the curriculum that is being shoved down the throats of their children. Public education curriculum is infecting our childrens minds with immoral beliefs, failing to teach logic, and teaching children that the STATE, not their families know what is best for them. Home schooling threatens this public education scheme. Instead of educating children it brainwashes them. Today in the public school environment children are not exposed to being educated. Their minds are not taught to think, reason and form solid, time tested and rational understandings about what they see around them. Instead it corrupts our childrens morals, corrupts their valuable and fertile minds with utter nonsense and challenges the beliefs of their parents. Instead of classical true education todays public education establishment is seeking to replace the proper role of parents with itself and the politically correct nonsense of wholly irrational and harmful thinking. That aside what do we do? I believe the more we expose and educate the public to what is actually in the Common Core standards, what testing to the Common Core standards is (see the teaching of math concepts such as how to add 9 + 6) all about. Then it is important to begin to try to make parents aware that the public education bureaucrats are going to hold their childrens higher education opportunities hostage to their learning a purely politically correct curriculum in order to be able to score properly on higher education entrance exams based almost entirely on a common core of curriculum that guarantees a child is capable of little more than route regurgitation of nonsense and completely unable to reason, think or distinguish truth from fiction and nonsense. Why is this being done? This is how you control people and we have a group of elites who believe it is their right to control everyone else. Of course, this always fails. The trouble is - as these sick egotistical know-it-alls use our money to impose their desires on the majority they destroy millions and millions of minds, wreck havoc on our lives and in the end care less as a civil and harmonious society collapses. This sounds pretty bleak and depressing. It is. But it is what is happening and the speed and aggressiveness of it are mind boggling. There is NO middle ground. This will not be beat back with some simple legislation. It will not stop until there is a cleansing of the rabble and sick group that currently are running the public education system. As I said when this began - I dont think we can save public education. That does not mean we dont try. However, so and so (Persons Named Removed) has learned a very hard and unfortunate lesson - we cant any longer trust public education bureaucrats.
