Many have asked for an update after we got the big seizure. Turns out the big seizure lead to bigger information. Her big seizures are more neurologically dangerous than previously thought. There are 20 seconds of flat line brain activity after each one which could result in stopping breathing or heartbeat. Need to get much more aggressive. Adding a third seizure med, need to do MRI, Pet scan. Maybe a candidate for surgery. Good to get information, just unsettling and more than a bit scary. Good news is that we are cleared to travel and are still going to Disney tomorrow afternoon for her birthday. Ill be medicating with Mickey mouse ice cream bars and overpriced churros all weekend. I just hate these seizures, they steal her joy.
