Many have asked me when or why I started weight training. Aside - TopicsExpress

Many have asked me when or why I started weight training. Aside from wanting to become a Super Saiyan, I was also bullied at school, not so much in primary since I was the fastest kid in primary and they couldnt catch me most of the time, but high school was a different story. There were many beatings I remember clearly. Even spent a few lunch times in the dumpster with the guys sitting on top of it so I couldnt get out. So, I convinced my dad to buy a Chuck Norris totally gym. And thats where my love of muscle building began. Eventually I moved up to a few dumbbells and a barbell set. Got a bench happening, performed chin ups in our garage... but it was all becoming too easy, so finally decided to join the Broadmeadows YMCA. I use to go in there not knowing anything about training, so I would sit there on a bicep curl machine and do 100 reps. Genius.. I know. Long story short, I joined five star fitness in thomastown and met a lot of good people who taught me a lot of good training methods and a lot of shit ones. Most of the good ones came from the likes of a 75 year old powerlifter named Wim. Wim was old, but damn he was strong. And thats where my love of strength started. I no longer see Wim, but these days, I got a lot of people to look up to and motivate me with their strength. People like Peter Bickers, Karl Difalco, Brett, the many strength gyms I visit, the internet and Brad the white guy. Even Stefan to an extent who is getting super strong, super fast. Anyway, moral of the story... I havent been bullied since I started working out. So, get lifting or learn some form of martial arts!
