Many have asked, why did I say it had been a rough trip, so here are the details...First off, flight to Dulles got cancelled while I was checking in (Maintenance issues so Im glad it did!) then flight to Chicago was delayed. As were sitting on the plane, unable to leave bc now they have overbooked and plane is too heavy. I knew those 25 extra pounds on me would get me! Had to wait for volunteers to get off. They were about to elect ppl to leave when 2 women volunteered. They had offered $150 ea but they demanded $300 ea so they gave it to them!! Maybe I should have delayed mine haha kidding. Ok then we are running late for me to make my connecting flight. I would have 20-25 min to get there and in Chicago thats not a lot of time haha. As we get closer to airport, captain announces that we cannot land bc gate had closed and we would have to circle for 20 min!!! Ok so now Im gonna miss my connection. Great. Flight attendant was very helpful and said Id prob not make it but to run!! And told me where I had to go. I was in 2nd row so as soon as able, I took off running lol. It was like The Biggest Loser meets Home Alone. I was about to collapse when finally got to my gate. I stepped onto the plane, about cried and asked for water haha. Found my seat, and had not even sat down yet when captain said to buckle and plane was rolling away from gate before I was even situated. Thats how close I cut it. Whew. Good flight. But to have a perfect ending, of course my luggage is vacationing in Houston LOL
