Many homeowners ask us if they will save money by replacing their old electric baseboards with the new Linear Convection baseboards. While these units tend to be smaller and deliver heat in a slightly different way than regular electric baseboards, the efficiency is the same. The important factor to compare is the amount of power used, indicated in “Watts” on most devices. If your old baseboard heater uses 1500 Watts and the new baseboard heater uses 1500 Watts, it will cost the same to operate.
