Many honorable young boys, and now honorable men, have earned this prestigious award. Our son Ammona got his in 2008, nephew Taylor Malolo earned his several months ago and this year our second son Helaman will receive his. What an inspired program where our boys are involved in learning fundamental codes of survival and good moral conduct to guide them throughout their lives. Congratulations to about 6% of Boy Scouts to have earned the Eagle award. Now a truth!!! If it werent for their mothers, the percentage of Eagle awards would probably be about 2%. I know for a fact that it werent for my wife Cynthia , both our boys wouldnt be Eagle Scouts!!!! Its not the leaders responsibility that boys do not become Eagles, it squarely on the boy and the parents!!!! Leaders lead and help, boys and parents do the rest. Parents, keep a file of your boys merit badges and dates of completion.
