Many many people who receive SNAP (Supplemental Nutition Assistance Program) are working but do not earn a living wage. I do not consider someone who is working 2 or 3 minimum or below minimum wage jobs and still not able to make ends meet "lazy", do you? What I do consider Lazy (and stronger words) are these members of Congress who are not doing a damn thing to make sure people can earn a Living Wage and thus have no need for food assistance. Fifteen members of Congress benefited from federal farm subsidies last year, many of whom voted for cuts to food stamps. The biggest corporate welfare recipient, Representative Stephen Fincher from Tennessee, cited the bible to argue that those receiving food stamps are too lazy to earn their keep.
