Many may not understand the way I train my children but its okay. Some may wonder if I discipline them but that too is okay....Joey and I, we dont spare the rod, we discipline as seen fit and as led by the Holy Spirit. I was not appointed to be Madisyn and Elijahs mom by the worlds standards but by Gods standards. I was not appointed to be their mom to mold what I or others think they should be but to unfold the person God created them to be. The bible says to train up a child in the way THEY should go. For me to recognize which way that is is to identify the God given talents and gifts that are embedded in them through God. My son may bang away at things and grab objects to strum and there are times I allow him to bang and other times I dont. How do I know when to allow it? I allow God to lead me...He has a gift of playing instruments and singing....He is called to worship and to praise and if I stifle him from allowing that talent/gift to manifest then I am quenching the Holy Spirit. Couple persons (not in my family) argued the fact that my children are sooooo naughty and outspoken and we dont discipline the way we should Why? Because I allowed my son to bang away on his drum set. Why? Because I allowed my daughter to ask questions after I do a 4minute time out when she misbehaves. I dont shut my children up, I allow them to be vocal TO A CERTAIN EXTENT. See, I am raising children that are called into another dimension. I am raising children that will blow their trumpets throughout the corner of the world. When they misbehave and act out in a rebellious way, my husband and I dont hold back the discipline (we do not spare the rod), we do time outs AND we take them into the Word of God. My daughter will act out and oftentimes instantly she will catch herself and stop then look at me and apologize for not having the right spirit. She sometimes refer to her outbursts as evil and repent to God for not honoring her mommy and daddy (all done on her own). See, many people dont see that part but they see the children as being a nuisance and an inconvenience and parents that dont discipline. We are a peculiar people....We are unfolding what is meant to be.....Ephesians 6: Fathers (mothers alike), do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. KEY WORD - Of the Lord. See each child as a Heritage of the Lord and not as nuisance of society who inconvenience your ability to hear the television or interrupt your lunch hour.....God is a good God and His love for us is greater than any perception and misunderstanding. Have a good day family and friends and be blessed.....
