Many music loving poetic souls got involved with the travelling circus of artbeat uniqulture which started in January in Tin Pan Alley. A clash of genres and generations (playing class friends), we have had an adventure in a year when the small/medium venue circuit we need is being attacked by the apartheid-by-stealth they call gentrification. Knock it down and build luxury emptiness and/or caffeine junkie tax dodger outlets. The artists shoes/instruments etc may be largely held together by gaffer tape off stage, but their songs and shows are soaked in star dust. It warms my heart that as the year ends they have ALL raised profile, won new fans and got awesome feedback from anybody that would take a chance on them. I just want to say thank you to ANYBODY that stepped foot in a gig, reviewed, previewed, radio played, scouted, connected or even just shared a link in support, for being part of this. Now that we have a pulsing family of creativity, I can only look forward to 2015. Britain may go more fascist and corrupt, but thanks to the massive talent under ground needing to have bigger songs to get noticed, at least there are massive soundtracks to do battle with. Topped off with Manics power this week, I have woken up determined to wage positivity and never surrender. Familyfriend circles, I love you. Caf x
