Date: November 25, 2014, Tuesday Time: 15.00 p.m. Venue: 321 Bio: Eric Freedman, J.D., is director of the Knight Center for Environmental Journalism and Capital News Service at Michigan State University. He has extensive experience as a reporter covering environment, government and public policy and won a Pulitzer Prize for coverage of a legislative corruption scandal in Michigan. He is a former Fulbright scholar at World Languages University in Uzbekistan and currently is an International Scholar for the Open Society Foundations Academic Fellowship Program, working with the AUCA Department of Journalism & Mass Communication. He is co-editor of After the Czars and Commissars: Journalism in Authoritarian Post-Soviet Central Asia. He and Dr. Neuzil are co-editors of a forthcoming book about environmental crises in Central Asia.
