Many of my close friends ask me why I got into politics. They figure that maybe, I want power. I said, what kind of power can a barangay captain or even a mayor have when modesty aside, I have friends in influential places also whom I can go to if I need help. My friends further probe and ask, Is it money? I said, I certainly make more than the income of our barangay and personally Im happy and comfortable with my life. So, what then is the reason that made you decide to enter the political arena? I said, I have nothing to gain or lose in getting into politics. I just want a better barangay, a better city for myself, my family and for as many people who find this to be a dream worth pursuing.
