Many of my close friends have heard me complain about the POOR - TopicsExpress

Many of my close friends have heard me complain about the POOR JOURNALISM skills I see in many of our nations newspapers online. I know my skills are lacking in spelling, punctuation, and syntax. But I am not being PAID to do wordsmithing on a national level. This was an article from the Business Insider section of MSN NEWS. I posted this to let my friends know about the coming eclipse event. The quoted text has been taken directly from the article. I am not sure if Illinois will be able to see the eclipse. The article says it starts at 4:25am EST through sunrise. In one section of the article it says it can be seen only on the east coast and in another part much of the country. I might try to look for it. It is an interesting phenomenon. That word can be used in place of event just for the MNS writers information....(Ok Im done now...LOL) During a lunar eclipse is one of the only times that the moon and sun are exactly 180 degrees apart on Earths sky, which means that right after the moon sets, the sun should rise, making it technically impossible to see both at once. But a simple trick of the light changes everything and as a result crafty observers to can this wild, and otherwise impossible, event. Observers in Australia, western Asia, islands in the Pacific Ocean, and much of North America will get the chance to observe this rare event. Because Earths atmosphere refracts, or bends, light at a certain angle near the horizon, it creates an optical illusion that both the sun and moon appear are slightly higher in the sky and therefore less than 180 degrees apart. As a result, we get a tiny window where we can see both celestial orbs simultaneously. If you get any shots of the lunar eclipse, then them with a description and your name, and location to our science team at science@businessinsider and we might feature them on our site. If you are LUCKY, you MSN science types, I might then you some shots. (Ok, Im done NOW....)
