Many of my friends know that my life has taken an unpredictable turn these last two years, well, I have worked to get back some of my former life and am blessed to be able to give to others who are in need. Mary, is one of my patients, in my Hospital. I am honored and privileged to know her, but blessed to be able to make her days with us as special as they could be. As a Chef, I have always thrived on peoples special occasions and life changing events. It has always been my belief that peoples milestone events will always be remembered so make them as special as can be. Well, as the Executive Chef of a Childrens Hospital, I get many opportunities to make a patient smile. Mary, in this video, is one of these special patients that make my entire lifes work mean something, no matter what she wants to eat she gets, Crab legs, Grilled Shrimp, or today Steak and A-1 sauce with a side of fried pickles, she gets it! Why, because she is the sparkle in all of our eyes, a child going through the most difficult of times and yet still cast a ray of sunshine far beyond herself.
