Many of our friends and family heard it directly from Rachel Andelman last night -- she is Tallahassee-bound in the fall! We officially have Florida State Seminoles in our midst! Her plan is to study film and film production. Speaking of which, there has been a LOT more news collecting about her short Shorecrest Preparatory School film, The Zipper, produced with Zach Savitsky and Saul Weiskopf: • The Zipper took third place in the Feature/Short category at the Palm Beach International Film Festivals Student Showcase of Films -- winning a $400 scholarship -- and it will be shown during the PBIFF on April 6 at 7 p.m. at the Cobb Theatre, Downtown at the Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens! • The Zipper was also a selection of the the High School Filmmakers Showcase held in conjunction with the Green Mountain Film Festival, April 5th at Catamount Arts in St. Johnsbury, VT. • The Zipper was one of TWO films Rachel placed in the Salvador Dali Museums Daliwood Film Competition. In addition to The Zipper, Daliwood also accepted Door to Another Universe. Daliwood Exhibit Dates are April 18 - June 1 at the museum. • And finally, through its affiliation with the Sunscreen Film Festival, we understand both The Zipper and Door to Another Universe will also be screened at the Sunscreen Film Festival.
