Many of our unions have been weakened and are unable to defend the interests of our members precisely because a paralysed COSATU cannot intervene to correct these weaknesses. New unions are mushrooming left right and center in all sectors of the economy as workers are desperately in search of a trade union movement totally committed to protect their interests. In some occasions they jump from the frying pan to a fire.
