Many of us older folks are disappointed by what weve become. The under 30s cant grasp it; they wonder why those of us from the 50s and 60s are bitter. The vision of America that we thought we were moving towards has been smashed. The promise of opportunity and achievement we wanted for all has been swept away by failed policy and welfare handouts. The idea that each person is responsible for his own outcomes has been submerged beneath the belief that we cannot be trusted and so must have things controlled for us. Those of is who have taken our lives by the horns find it abhorrent that the desire now is to have someone else define the lives of men, in the name of enforced Safety and Minimal Entitlement. We heard these things predicted before todays generation was born. Now we see them happening. The Age Of Independent Men died with JFK - and we are greatly vexed by that.
