Many of you either know personally or have heard us speak of our dear friends Carrie & Charles Warfel who have helped us immensely since Claires diagnosis. Sometimes it seems our boys are with them as much as they are home. Carries sister Megan wrote to Lady Antebellum to tell them what a selfless person Carrie is, and they flew out to celebrate her! I had no idea, and neither did she! I had planned to leave the hospital this evening to see the boys, but was told this afternoon that Carrie was getting a surprise and Dave insisted that I should be there. So I went straight from the hospital, grabbed the boys and went to celebrate my friend who I am so thankful for. It felt good to smile for the first time in a few days, and the band was so sweet, telling Cohen they are praying for his sister and signed a copy of their new album for her. I so wish she could have been there ❤️
