Many of you have stated that you have received multiple calls or messages from the Everbridge Notification system. Below is a segment from the website. Basically, if you do not confirm you received the message, it will continue to send them out. This is to make sure you are informed. How It Works When we issue a notification about a potential safety hazard or concern, you will receive a message on the voice or text communication methods that you have registered. Voice notifications will prompt you to press 1 to confirm receipt. Text messages will prompt you to type YES and send to confirm receipt. If you do not confirm, the system will continue to try to reach you using all methods of communication that you have provided. Be advised that every time the National Weather Service or NOAA issues a new alert for your location you will receive a new notification requiring confirmation of receipt.
