Many of you know that I have started a program here in LA at a Middle School in Watts which provides a performing arts elective curriculum entirely free of cost to the school district and the school. Up until this point I have used my own money, and my friends and colleagues have generously donated their time and talents at no charge, and Im currently working with the NAACP to become a legit non-profit with financial backing. But as of right now Im going to reach out to YOU for assistance!! Many of you got into contact with me at the beginning of the year eager to donate and help out in some way. Well heres your big chance!!! Two weeks from today my class is presenting their Black History Month performance for the entire school and Ive managed to keep the cost to zero. That is until you factor in sound and the rental of equipment. Right now my sound rental budget is $500.
