Many of you know that I was diagnosed with Osteoarthrosis last April. My hips, pelvic area, lower back and upper thighs were giving me a fit. The pain I have been having over the past year has gotten worse. My hips on both sides had gotten worse from this. Osteoarthrosis is also known as Degenerative Bone Disease and is an excruciatingly painful condition. Symptoms develop slowly and worsen over time until you are barely able to perform routine activities. This is the most common type of arthritis and is typically caused when the cartilage covering the ends of the bones begins to wear away. The bones then begin to rub together. This friction can cause chronic pain, morning stiffness and overall decrease in movement. He said the space between the femur (thigh bone and the pelvic bone is very minimal and that is were the cartilage has become diseased. Its bone on bone now... A cortisone shot on May 3 did nothing for me...so I will have a Total Hip Replacement on Sept 29. Wanted to wait for the summer to get over, so I can spend time with Christina in the pool... I am trying to say positive. I just hate this darn pain...I know once I get the surgery done, I will be feeling a lot better. Pray for me, please! Thank you all so much. All my love. Linda
