Many of you may know i have been refuting Emilys decision to attend Sewanee. Not that it is not a good school. It very much is. But I have had some reservations with the lack of culture and diversity. Such a small school with similar student demographics...I just want her to have exposure to so much more that is out there. I dont even need to mention the whole party aspect. My uneasiness has been quickly comforted. Emilys new roomy is US born but from Kenya and speaks Swahili :) She asked Em if she would like to join her in searching the area for a church. And certainly, she will expose Emily to a mindset that is much different that our western culture!! So, yep. I have been totally proven wrong! Thank God.
