Many of you may not realize it but Breast Cancer is a major concern among women these days. The more advanced in technology our society becomes the more we learn about this horrific illness that affects way to many women. Studies have shown that Breast Cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women, which is almost as upsetting as it being the second leading cause of death among women. Its also been discovered that every one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer within their lifetime. Everyone here at XUSOM wants to do their part in raising awareness for Breast Cancer in anyway we can. Thats why on Saturday, June 7, 2014, XUSOM took part in the Breast Cancer Screening Event in Aruba. This event was organized by the Womens Club of Aruba (WCA) and took place at the IMSAN Hospital in San Nicolas, Aruba. The turnout of support was inspiring to everyone which in turn led to an overall amazing event. Thank you again to everyone who came out to show their support!
