Many of you might find this hard to believe but there are homeless right here in our town of Federalsburg. I received a phone call this morning about a single Mom with her 4 children( 1 child handicapped) who are in this dire situation. She never knows at night whether she will have a friend who will let them sleep in their home or if it will be another night in their vehicle. My heart breaks that this is here in our town. An individual has found housing for this family. Its a very complicated situation but if she can get a security deposit together her worker feels she can make it with the other assistance she is receiving. I was asked through my network of wonderful friends if I could find anyone to help. If you feel a desire to help this family please let me know. I want to see this family in a home for Thanksgiving not their car. Unfortunately, I am asked not to share the familys name for their privacy and pride. Thank you for taking the time to read this and considering helping them.
