Many of you probably know the dear, brave, passionate soul who was Cindy Wright. Cindy died this morning after an 8-year conversation with cancer...and that girl was posting recipes, family photos and food love to the end. A fierce lover of humans, her family and oncology massage...Cindy Wright was in daily conversation with her God and was truly and well-loved by her family and friends. She was a devoted advocate and contributor to the Society for Oncology Massage and to her local community and Rex Cancer Center. Cindy, we will miss you more than words can say. Safe travels, dear friend. This is her husband, Darrens post from this morning: It is with tremendous sadness that I report that Cindy Mackie Gottberg Wright, my wife, my best friend of almost 15 years, passed away this morning at 9:15. Cindy was an inspiration to everyone that crossed her path. She had a smile that would light the darkest of darks and a heart and soul of a true Angel. She battled cancer for the last eight years and in the end, it may have beaten her body, but it NEVER defeated her spirit. Cindy walked proudly with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ throughout her battle. She always knew her future and in the end, was at peace. She knew that she was and is loved by all her wonderful family. If you were her friend, you were family. Thank you everyone for the prayers for healing. They brought her so much comfort. There will be a memorial later this week at our home church New Horizons Fellowship in Apex, NC. I will post the details when everything has been finalized. There will be a celebration of her life. Please, if you feel so inclined to send flowers, I ask that instead, make a donation to The American Cancer Society or to The Society for Oncology Massage in the name of Cynthia Gottberg Wright. Thank you everyone for your love and support.
