Many of you that are customers of Vapegeek know Kirk one of Vapegeek’s loyal customers, our “Man on the street” and a frequent poster on this site. As you may have seen or heard in the news recently, Kirk was found guilty and sentenced to 10 years for arson of a building – a crime that he has steadfastly denies committing. Our association and experience with Kirk, while spanning only a few months, has been exemplary and there has never been any cause for us to question his integrity, character or honesty. As friends of Kirk, Christina and I attended his trial from start to finish and heard every witness and every word of testimony up to and including his sentencing this morning. Our opinion as to Kirk’s innocence or guilt in this matter aside, I want to clarify for the record that there was NOT one piece of testimony or evidence presented at the trial that Kirk was concerned about “too many Mexicans in the neighborhood” nor was there any testimony or evidence presented that would indicate he is a “angry, vindictive racist that hates law enforcement” as reported by KBTX. I do not know the source of KBTX’s information for their report but I confidently say it was not from evidence offered at his trial. Kirk and his attorney have already filed an appeal of his conviction with the court. Please keep Kirk and his family in your prayers in these difficult times.
