Many of you will remember last month when we had a very special puppy up for adoption who needed to go to a very special forever home. Her name at the time was Shazz, and she was our sweet, blind Beagle. Shazz, now Tilly, was adopted to a wonderful home with an owner who was already experienced in the trials and tribulations that come with owning a blind dog. Little did any of us know that Tilly had a worrying and sometimes debilitating condition called hydrocephalus which basically means a high accumulation of spinal fluid. This fluid was causing Tillys blindness as well as other symptoms. The good news is hydrocephalus can be fixed but it does require an expensive surgery to do so.
