Many parents of Deaf children are ashamed to go public about the fact that they have a Deaf child or children.Some hide their children from the public.Others blame each other for bearing Deaf children.Every child is a blessing from God and we must accept them as they are.Deaf children deserve to be loved.Deaf children deserve our support in every aspect of their lives.Some parents prefer hearing children ahead of the Deaf under an erroneous belief that the former are better than the Deaf. That is wrong. Deaf children are equal in every respect to hearing children. No human being is better than the other.Let us not hide our Deaf Children.Let us give them the support they need to achieve their dreams.We must give them hope and confidence that they can grow up to live their dreams and independent lives. The emancipation of the Deaf must begin with us parents. Let us not allow our Deaf children to judge us for having failed them.Deaf children rock!
