Many people are waiting for answers after a body was found in a canal in St. Lucie County on Monday. The St. Lucie Sheriffs Office says a womans body was found in this canal off Indrio Road. Sheriff Ken Mascara told WPTV he believes its connected to a burned out car found in the area on Sunday. That was ruled an arson. WPTV asked a sheriffs office spokesperson Monday night if the body has been identified. However, we were told that nothing will be released until Tuesday. At the same time, there is a Facebook page set up by relatives of a missing mother who lives in the area. Theyve been searching for her since yesterday. The Sheriffs Office would not confirm any connection between the body found in the canal and the missing woman.
