Many people believe animals are non-sentient beings, but after witnessing the transformations and heartbreaks shelter animals experience, it’s hard to agree. Alaska’s journey is no exception. Alaska came to AniMeals after her owners passed away and no one else would take her. She was scarred, alone, and unhappy. For the first few months at AniMeals she didn’t want anyone to touch her, hid in a kennel, and was silent, but we never gave up on her. We spent hours sitting with her, letting her sniff our hands, and eventually Today Alaska is sweet, friendly, affectionate, and loves to be brushed. She brings peace and joy to everyone she meets and it warms our heart to see this once sad little girl happy and active. Alaska has been on the journey of a lifetime but is ready to finally go home.
