Many people do not know this about me but when I was 13 I found a small lump in my right breast. I waited 3 years before I said anything to anyone and at 16 had the lump removed. What started out the size of a pea grew to the size of a golf ball and it was one of the scariest times in my life! Thank God that my lump was benign...however not all are as lucky as I was. I encourage you ALL (men, women, teens) to CHECK YOUR BREASTS!! Please...if you have pre-teen girls please talk to them about this...it is NEVER TOO EARLY to begin teaching your child about the importance of taking care of yourself.
