Many people have been saying that KKR is privately owned by SRK and hence the celebration of the people of Kolkata for the teams recent victory in IPL is almost meaningless and they should not take pride in this team. I would like to inform all of them that the Indian Cricket Team is also selected by the BCCI, which is a private body affiliated to the ICC. This team REPRESENTS India in international tournaments organised by the ICC, just like the KKR REPRESENTS Kolkata in the domestic tournament of IPL, organised by the BCCI. So, if we can celebrate the victories of Team India, then there is no harm in celebrating the victory of KKR or any other IPL Team, because both are equivalent in terms of ownership status.
