Many people have come on our page and expressed surprise at how little snow weve had so far this season. In Pittsburgh, weve had 7.5 inches of snow to date, while normal is 16.5 inches. At this time last year, we were already at 30.7 inches! It appears that last winter was a good winter for snow lovers, while this winter may be a good winter for snow haters. Everybody gets their chance! Can this help us determine how much more snow we will have? We took the 10 winters with the closest amount of snow season to date and compared their overall seasonal snowfall. Those 10 winters ended up with an average of 30.4 inches. Thats not a specific forecast that were making, its just taking a look at the past to try to anticipate how the rest of the winter might turn out.
