Many people just want to unwind and have a nice cold beer on their deck when they get home from work. But did you know drinking beer may cause mosquitoes to be more attracted to you? A recent research study was done with 13 volunteers who drank 350 ml of beer and compared them to a 30-year old guy who did not drink any beer. It was found that there was a significant increase in mosquitoes landing on the volunteers after they drank their beer compared to before they drank the beer. This means that those who drink more beer may also have a greater risk of contracting mosquito-borne diseases.
