Many people keep asking me about the Ranch and the Elvis story. I keep posting the story. Here it is again: Pay it forward for Elvis! As the holiday season approaches what will you do to pay it forward??/ In a time when there is so much negativity and hatred towards each other, children and animals, here is a chance to make dreams come true! Miracle Ranch was a dream of ours and for the couple years we had the Ranch we also had a battle against evil forces who wanted us gone. We took heed to those warnings and shut our rescue operation down in January 2014. We also were led by a huge faith that this was the direction GOD wanted us to go and he had a bigger plan for the place. Divine Intervention has once again intercepted and is our guiding light. The very same day we listed the property for sale ( after months of NOT being able to face that task), a little disabled boy named Elvis was being removed from living conditions that were deemed unfit and condemned. Along with the removal of Elvis, many rescue groups were called in to help save the animals of this property in HORRIFIC conditions. We had our team member , Sheryl Barton on site to help take animals under our license. Through postings on facebook, we learned of Elvis biological father and step mom and their appreciation to all who helped rescue Elvis from this situation they were desperately trying to save him from for the past 2 years. Bob Phillips and Anna K Yonkosky have been awarded temporary custody of Elvis. In learning this very disturbing story , we also learned that this selfless couple spent all their savings in legal fees to get Elvis away from his situation. They had been saving up money to buy a home. Although many emotional issues she was dealing with on her own, Anna found the words to comfort me with the sad reality of the listing of our ranch. At that moment she disclosed to me, IF they had still been looking for a place, the ranch wouldve been their dream place! That is all it took for me to hear to get the wheels spinning. I called Sharon Zimmer, immediately because Shar is my partner in crime. The crimes we tend to commit are simply allowing our hearts to steer us at all times and NEVER thinking rationally. Once I told Sharon about this family, she to agreed we MUST do something. Sharon and I believe in signs! The fact that this little boy was named Elvis was CLEARLY our sign! We contacted our amazing Real estate agent, Angela Rubertino Powell and explained the WHOLE situation and how we wanted to get this family on that ranch. Angela , of course represents us as our agent so she must think on a professional level and remain biased for her clients ( in this case being us). Arrangements were made for Elvis to be taken out to the ranch and see it the very next day. We asked that Elvis be videotaped so we could see his reaction. Steve Adkins and Patricia Bandy Durham accompanied Angela out to the property. They captured Elviss reaction and at that moment WE JUST KNEW: youtu.be/185wQ2KzWlg. Angela called me as soon as they left and stated: I went in there very biased and unemotional to represent you to the best of my ability HOWEVER I stood there as a grandmother and Karen, this is the family! We MUST make this happen. Angela went on to refuse to take any part of a commission with this and to use her would be commission to do what is needed to get the home ready. Since we reduced the home price so significantly , we do not have funds to do what is needed to get the home to code. The community has come together as well as supporters from all over the country. Carpet was donated by Angela Micik andtandus-centiva/. Donations have been sent by Jessie Marienski, Patty Creitz, Kristin Kucsma and many more coming. Toys are being collected by Meagan E Peterson. Volunteers are all gathering to help get this house ready as a home. Cards are being sent from all over for Elvis. Imagine a child who NEVER had a bed of his own. He was forced to live on a couch w dogs all over, feces and roaches. Imagine never holding your head up and constantly looking down with no life in your eyes? Imagine for ONE second the feelings of helplessness a father must have had knowing the conditions his son was forced to live in YET nobody would listen to his pleas? NOW imagine a spiritual place , a magical place , a place of peace and protection that was once used to save over 3000 animals. Our entire mission is based on children and animals. Perhaps the big picture and the reasons GOD led us from NJ to a small county in the middle of nowhere was to actually help perform the last and best miracle of all times. This miraculous place we have all come to know as Miracle Ranch for animals will now potentially be the difference in a wonderful future for a little boy named Elvis. If this is GODs master plan for us and our ranch, it was worth every trying second and speedbump in the road to get here. Now, its time for everyone to help.
