Many people with great callings went astray because of the failure to handle their past life. Your calling is greater than what is in the past. Dwelling in the past can consume and damage our thought process. Incubation of past memories can be bitter and bind our progress to experience the desired future. The result is annoying distraction from pursing your calling. This will shift your focus and make it impossible for us to give attention to that which we are called to. If we are to be free to pursue our calling unhindered, then leaving behind our past disappointments and successes, is more than necessary.
