Many smartphones today come with hefty specs, but with a limited internal storage of 8 or 16 GB and no expansion slot. What is the use of having a Snapdragon 801 and Adreno 330 or a 13MP Sony sensor-based camera when you are going to run out of space when you either install one game or record 20 mins of video? Now some of you might argue with me that phones are used for calling, texting, checking mails, browsing and the like. If you are going to do only what youve mentioned, then why on earth a Snapdragon 801 for gods sake? Get a cheaper and less power hungry phone and stay happy. Some of you might also argue that we have the cloud to store our backup data. Now tell me, is the cloud suitable for you when you are in a place with spotty or zero connectivity? Or is that suitable when you are on metered mobile data where they charge you per MB for being over the limit? Cmon manufacturers and the general public, getting a hefty specced phone with a pretty limited internal memory with no option for expansion is equivalent to buying an Intel Xeon based workstation with Nvidia graphics and installing only a 32 GB SSD on it. The only thing you can really do is boast about the numbers you have. The processing power and capabilities go wasted, and so does your money.
