Many thanks to Alaska Camera for letting me test drive their Nikon D800. Unfortunately, I didnt get a good Aurora night while testing it and thus Ill be renting it again. In the limited time I got with it, Im not in love though and as silly as it seems its little things like ergonomics and having to dig through a complicated menu system that prevented me from shooting Nikon to begin with. That being said, there are many things to drool over and envy as a Canon Cameras shooter. Ill let you know after Ive had both in my hands on a good Aurora night side by side but thus far, its looking like that Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 is staying on my Canon for a while.
