Many thanks to Lydia Alba Patten (KVET), Michelle Dean Plunk - TopicsExpress

Many thanks to Lydia Alba Patten (KVET), Michelle Dean Plunk (Jim’s youngest) and James Traye Dean (Jim named his third son ‘Traye’) for creating the event Wednesday night for the legendary legacy of Jim WW Travis Dean at the Broken Spoke in Austin. It was great to see Bob Cole, Steve Weldon, Penny Reeves, Hank Williams (Steve Gary), and Vernon (Leander Flash) Kay, Scott McGregor, Anthony (Cowboy) Cristo and so many more all in one place. It was a radio romp that Genuine Jim would have enjoyed poking fun at (in a good way). Bob Cole, it’s up to you and Sammy to keep the legacy alive in the Austin market these days. Godspeed with KOKE FM. I know how pressing it can be to break-open a market. Laugh it up. You have the best radio idea that I’ve heard of in years. Yes radio is still relevant, especially the Austintatious voice! EeeHa! Good luck and good health… and oh yah, happy November birthday Bob! As for the rest of us… In the words of ‘Trav’, “When the sky is leakin’, step outside and take a leak for yourself!” Thanks all; r
