Many times, my transparency isnt to air out my dirty laundry, but to show people whom I love that yes, I have traveled difficult roads, but God is even there. For most of the last 20 years, I have lived with a lot of physical pain because of a disease in my pancreas. When the pain hits, the only thing that will take the edge off, is pain meds through an i.v. I know more of discomfort that I have ever wanted to know. Many times, I have wished that this wasnt the hand that I have been dealt. But I can say this... I have learned that God is present even in those times where I feel I walk alone. Im not alone. He is there. He has shown me how to enjoy life even through the lense of pain. He has sent me friends who have prayed for me, who encourage me and love me even during those seasons when I dont feel well enough to have them around me. Heres the bottom line... I wouldnt trade my life for anything else. I am so thankful for my life and I praise God for allowing me to journey down this road because it keeps me dependant on Jesus.
