Many times we think pastors have superhuman qualities.We expect them to be on call 24/7 if we have an emergency, comply with every request we make of them and still be able to preach or lead a ministry flawlessly and seemingly without preparation. We forget they are just like us. We expect them to bear our burdens as well as their own. We expect them to agree with us when we criticize and complain. Yes, God equips them for service and they know when they accept Gods call it will often be difficult, but that doesnt make it easier. They have bodies that tire and grow weary and have their own families that depend on them and compete for their time. They have feelings just as we do and need an encouraging word from time to time to let them know we love them too. Pray for them and their families constantly and let them know how you feel! .I appreciate and love each of the pastors at Rice Memorial Baptist Church!
