Many will have seen Catherine Macleod on BBC Scotlands politics programmes. Shes always introduced as a Herald journalist or similar - no mention is ever made of her close ties to the Labour Party, or that she was Alistair Darlings most trusted Spad (Special Advisor) for three years - the three years when the economy and banks finally failed. Anyone who has been following GA Ponsonbys How the BBC Stole the Referendum will already have a very good idea of the strong links between our national broadcaster and the Labour Party, and Macleod is simply another link in a very long chain - one that makes a mockery of genuine democracy in Scotland.
