Man’s body found believed to be missing man - Lansdowne River near Taree Issued at 10pm, Sunday 26 October 2014 Police are investigating after a man’s body was found in a river near Taree this evening. About 6.10pm (Sunday 26 October 2014), a man’s body was found by police in Landsdowne River, near Taree. Officers attached to Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command are conducting investigations into the incident. The man is believed to be a 34 year-old Coopernook man who went missing yesterday evening (Saturday 25 October 2014). Initial investigations suggest that the man’s death is not suspicious. A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
